Nintendo is determined to show us a few things with their new Wii U video reveal. In a way this is to get us hyped up before E3 in hopes that Nintendo delivers what we all want. It succeeds and fails in many different ways while also impressing on us the importance of their new controller and networking features. Take a look for yourself or read what we have to say. Keep reading for the rundown or watch the presentation yourself.

Must Watch: Go Right

In this short film created by YouTuber RockyPlanetesimal, we see many of our favorite platforming characters doing the one thing they’re all designed to do… go right. It’s really that simple but the music, the way it’s filmed and edited, the showcasing of the small pixels blown up to massive proportions. It’s all beautiful and it might even say something about gaming and life. Or I could be looking into it too much. Click to watch.

Ubisoft Announces Avengers Game for Kinect… In Other Words Another Game We Won’t Play

by on May 10, 2012 >> NewsWii UXbox

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will join forces on the Wii U and Xbox 360 with Kinect in a game based on the iconic “Secret Invasion” storyline. Yes that means that this is not a movie tie in game, but it’s still a game that involves motion controls and the Kinect. With the game also coming for Wii U there is a genuine chance that the game could be good on one of it’s two platforms, but the Kinect has failed to impress when it comes to action oriented titles. Keep reading for more information on this poorly idealized game.

Must Watch: Assassin’s Creed III Gameplay Trailer

by on May 10, 2012 >> PS3TrailersVideosWii UXbox

There’s no denying that Assassin’s Creed was finding it tough to stay fresh. While AC II brought new ideas to the franchise, the gameplay was relatively untouched and with each additional game it became harder and harder to tell them apart. Now for the first time in years the game has a numbered sequel that is worthy of taking notice. ACIII puts you in the moccasins of a young warrior named Conner Kenway, who is half English and half Native American. The game takes place over 30 years of Connor’s life and features large historical figures from the time of the revolutionary war. And now finally we get gameplay that shows just how different ACIII is from the previous four games. ACIII hits on October 31st, 2012. Click to watch trailer.

Watch: Sonic & All-Stars Racing TRANSFORMED

by on April 30, 2012 >> 3DSPS3PSVITATrailersVideosWiiWii UXbox

Sonic & All Stars Racing was actually a really solid kart racer that borrowed some of the best mechanics from Mario Kart but of course added a Sonic twist with more unique levels, carts and more. I actually prefer it to the Wii Mario Kart game. Now we’re getting a sequel with a really great mechanic of transforming for different environments. Karts will become boats and jets depending on when it’s necessary. Pretty sweet. Oh and there’s Dubstep. Dubstep is always good. Click to watch Sonic rock out to dubstep at a million miles an more.

Is This Assassin Creed 3’s Lead Character?

by on February 29, 2012 >> NewsPCPS3RumorWii UXbox

Kotaku scored with a Best Buy employee emailing them what appears to be the first bit of promotional art for Assassin’s Creed III. The main character of the game seems to be rocking a 18th century revolutionary war jacket, a tomahawk, bows and arrows and from what Kotaku is guessing, the character may be half native american if he’s still in Desmond’s ancestry. So Revolutionary War assassin huh? Seems pretty cool and like a big change from what we’ve seen over the past four games. The game is supposed to be unveiled on March 5th so we’ll know if this is real or bunk by then. Keep it tuned here for more. Click to see the full image.

8 Bit Zelda PC Case Mod Is Awesome

by on February 27, 2012 >> 3DSDSNewsPCWiiWii U

The 8-Bit Builder, Richard Clinton has made a PC Case mod out of wooden blocks that’s shaped like the Legend of Zelda hero Link. With light up sword intact, the creation of this case mode can be seen from start to finish. Small wooden blocks were glued together 1 by 1 until finally a sturdy frame was in place. Add wiring, PC components and you’ve got yourself a handsome little PC. What do you guys think of it? Check out his Facebook Page and Etsy shop. Click to watch the creation in video form.

Young Justice: Legacy Coming in 2013

by on February 21, 2012 >> NewsPS3PSVITAWiiWii UXbox

I love Young Justice. I think it’s one of the best animated series on today and I’m really sad that season 1 was so short and that it was broken up with months and months between new episodes. Hopefully Season 2 won’t be that way. But now a small developer called Little Orbit is going to make an multiplayer RPG based on the show. The problem is… Little Orbit’s only previous game is called Busy Scissors and it looks fucking terrible. Taking on one of the better TV franchises is a big task and our expectations for this title are low. more details after the jump.

Fan Made Zelda Trailer For Wii U is AMAZING!

by on January 30, 2012 >> NewsVideosWii U

Joel Furtado brilliantly shows what the next Zelda title could and perhaps should be… a direct sequel to Wind Waker, which is a cult favorite of the Zelda series and in many people’s eyes it’s one of the best. Should Link’s next adventure on the Wii U actually be a return to the Wind Waker story line? Personally I love Toon Link and I think that the last game, Skyward Sword was a meshing of the colorful and fun art style of something like Wind Waker and the gameplay of the more “hardcore” zelda games. What we’re seeing here in this totally non-official trailer is a game that doesn’t appear to be motion control driven at all. Maybe that’s a good thing. What do you think of the video? Leave your comments below. Click to watch the amazing fan made trailer.
