Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will join forces on the Wii U and Xbox 360 with Kinect in a game based on the iconic “Secret Invasion” storyline. Yes that means that this is not a movie tie in game, but it’s still a game that involves motion controls and the Kinect. With the game also coming for Wii U there is a genuine chance that the game could be good on one of it’s two platforms, but the Kinect has failed to impress when it comes to action oriented titles. Keep reading for more information on this poorly idealized game.
There’s no denying that Assassin’s Creed was finding it tough to stay fresh. While AC II brought new ideas to the franchise, the gameplay was relatively untouched and with each additional game it became harder and harder to tell them apart. Now for the first time in years the game has a numbered sequel that is worthy of taking notice. ACIII puts you in the moccasins of a young warrior named Conner Kenway, who is half English and half Native American. The game takes place over 30 years of Connor’s life and features large historical figures from the time of the revolutionary war. And now finally we get gameplay that shows just how different ACIII is from the previous four games. ACIII hits on October 31st, 2012. Click to watch trailer.
It was leaked that the game would take place during the Revolutionary War last week but now we know that Assassin’s Creed III lets you parkour through the trees and take out enemies on horseback. Push back the red coats and maybe you’ll get to hang out withe George Washington. Click to watch this epic trailer
Ubisoft has officially released the box art for the upcoming title and now Game Informer has spilled that their April cover art is ACIII themed too. Pretty cool artwork actually. Great stuff all around. I’m really liking the revolutionary war theme but does that mean no tall buildings? Could be a huge change for the franchise. But then again I was kind of tired of climbing tall buildings and then diving into giant bails of hay. Seemed like that’d never work anyway. You really should hang out in our live stream some times. We stream games we love or are brand new. I got into the zone and played Lumines for an hour straight and still didn’t reach the final track/stage. Also check out our review for this game which got 5 stars. Click to watch the full hour.
Lumines was introduced on the Playstation Portable years ago and quickly became one of the most addicting must have games for the platform. The game had since hit multiple systems including the Xbox 360 and now has a launch title sequel for the PSVita. Electronic Symphony cuts the fat and leaves a streamlined gaming experience that should be a must have for fans of puzzle games, music/rhythm games or quick on the go experiences. Read on for the full review and an hour of gameplay footage.
This trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier shows off it’s cover system and animations, both of which are incredibly fluid. Apparently all the animation is motion captured from real NAVY SEALS which is rather impressive. The soldiers use augmented reality to help them assess the situation and move from cover to cover fluidly. Oh and the cover can be destroyed which means campers are done for online. What do you think of the animation and cover systems? Click to watch the behind the scenes video.
An earnings call with Ubisoft let us know that Assassin’s Creed III is coming this year and that it has been in development for the past 3. That’s good news since many players of the past few games were starting to feel more than a little deja vu when playing. CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemont let out that the game is coming on October 30th and that “what we have seen is just fabulous”. This game is also set to end the story of Desmond. Expect the game to come out on every platform including this year’s upcoming Wii U. But what can we expect from the game? For wishes, speculation and more keep reading.
Trials HD is one of the very best, most addictive and robust games on the XBLA Marketplace today. It is packed full of track editing goodness and motorcycle trick making fun. It’s also incredibly challenging but rewarding. There’s a giant community of players who have been desperate to get their hands on the new game, Trials Evoltiuon, and now they have a time frame… SPRING. Spring of 2012 we can expect to see some of the wildest track editing of all time, but not just with bikes. The incredible track editor is able to create anything the player desires. This is nearly direct competition with the editor in Little Big Planet 2, and seems to be just as robust, but at a fraction of the cast. In the trailer we’re show a top down shooter, an angry birds clone, an fps, foosball, and more. People will be using this editor to do whatever they want. Expect to see this game shoot to the top of the XBLA rankings soon. We’ll be reviewing it on launch this spring. Watch the insane trailer here.
Watch a man climb over rubble, through rubble, beneath rubble, down through rubble and then kill a few fools at the end. It’s a useful skill to have if you’re in a post earthquake ravaged cityscape, and it looks like it might be a fun one to use too. We don’t get a whole lot of character from this short trailer, but as of right now (especially for an XBLA title) it’s looking pretty good.
Check it out in action after the break.
