Technically, “not impressed” would be more accurate, but “nonplussed” just sounded so much better (in addition to also being true).
While in many ways, this trailer is absolutely awful, it doesn’t at all mean that I’m any less excited for the game. Lollipop Chainsaw was incredibly fun to play at PAX, and funny too (something this trailer is just not). That being said, it’s a Valentine’s Day trailer for a game featuring a cheerleader… of course it’s going to be awful. Check it out for yourself and see what I mean after the break.
Lollipop Chainsaw Gets Different Pre-Order Skins

A new trailer showing off Lollipop Chainsaw’s pre-order skins is rather hit or miss. Some of these are “who cares” and others are just awesome… well one of them is. If you order Lollipop Chainsaw from Gamestop you get a skin based on Ash from The Evil Dead. Who doesn’t want that?! also that pixie hair cut is rather cute on the chainsaw wielding, zombie slaying heroine. Trailer and list of skins after the jump.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Lollipop Chainsaw is full as hell and kicks all kinds of ass and it would be a huge shame to not be incredibly excited for it’s upcoming 2012 release. I can’t wait, which is exactly why I’m posting this. In addition to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the box art, you can hit up the official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/LollipopChainsaw) for additional “fun and games” and access to exclusive downloads.
Lollipop Chainsaw is high on the list of my most anticipated games of 2012, and this trailer shows why. I played the game at PAX and it’s incredibly fun, ridiculously bloody, and intentionally hilarious in a way that most games can never manage. This new Halloween trailer only makes me wish I could play it again right now, cause it’s just that good. If you love B horror movies (and really, why wouldn’t you) check this out because Lollipop Chainsaw is shaping up to be a damn good one in video game form.

Lollipop Chainsaw is a game about a cheerleader murdering zombies with a chainsaw. It comes from the minds of Suda51 (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned) and James Gunn, who wrote and directed Slither and Super. In other words, what I’m trying to say here is this is a game that I couldn’t fucking wait to play. And what do you know, today it was absolutely my favorite game of the show. Everything single thing that I wanted from this game was on screen, right in front of me, as I worked the controls. It’s bright, it’s colorful, and it’s bloody hilarious.
It’s a winning combo: cheerleader with a chainsaw vs. armies of the undead, from the minds of Suda 51 and James Gunn (writer / director of ‘Super’ which is incredible). The game’s coming in 2012, and if you want to get excited for it just watch the trailer. You can’t tell me that doesn’t look fun.
