You might think that the news of our most anticipated game of the year being pushed back to the first quarter of 2012 would be distressing or even disappointing… it’s not. If you’ve listened to our podcast over the past few weeks then you know that Matt played Bioware’s latest game Dragon Age 2 and felt, as did many of the gamers who played it, that it was a bit rushed. Level designs were reused over and over with small variations providing little variety as far as map types go. It was a good game in the way of story, but it’s gameplay elements weren’t everything they could be. Rather than have the finale part of a trilogy be a rushed recycled game, we’d like to see something that is as close to perfect as possible.
It was announced today on the game’s official Facebook page that the game would be pushed back to the first three months of 2012. What do you think about this news? Are you upset? Pissed? Or are you like us and think that it’s fine because polish is everything in this world of gaming.
Does a Facebook game excite me? No.
What about flash games in general? Nope.
But mention unlockables for the upcoming Dragon Age 2, which I am immensely excited about, and I’m there. This teaser for Dragon Age Legends, which is indeed a flash based Facebook game, doesn’t show off much in the way of gameplay, but it does have some cool Cartoon Network-style animation and it lets us know when this game full of (hopefully great) unlockables will be released into the wild.
Check out the teaser and a few screenshots after the break, and let us know what you think. If nothing else, they should sate your need for Dragon Age goodness until Dragon Age 2 releases on March 8th.
