Batman Arkaham City Style Fight Scene Is Amazing

by on November 19, 2011 >> Videos

The guys and gals at Company have done a lot of great video game and anime inspired fights, including several based on Street Fighter IV. Here they’ve taken a page out of the free flowing fight mechanics of and let their female lead Mickey Facchinello go on an ass kicking rampage against some thugs.

One of the things that makes Thousand Pounds so special isn’t just the clean moves they pull off but also their dynamic cinematography which appears to be as planned with the fights themselves, moving with each strike. Some one please gives these cats a budget and lets see what they can really do. Watch the fight after the jump.

Watch Nightwing kick some ass in Arkham City

by on October 26, 2011 >> PCPS3VideosXbox

What does Nightwing have that doesn’t? Well he’s got a $6.99 (560 MSP) for starters, which just happens to feature his unique gadgets, special moves, and looks. It’s kind of too bad that you can only play him in challenge mode, cause flying around the city as Nightwing sounds fun, but at least he does come with 2 new maps (Wayne Manor and Main Hall) and an Animated Series Nightwing skin. This will be available November 1 on and PS3 (even though the game still won’t be out yet on PC) and if you want some more Dick Grayson in your life, his Robin Bundle Pack will be available on November November 22 for the same price.

Check him out after the break.

Sexism In Arkham City, A Reply to Film Critic Hulk

by on October 20, 2011 >> PS3Xbox

Recently a person who I respect, Britt Hayes, wrote an article that was a reply of sorts to FilmCritHulk’s commentary on the that is so apparent in : . Britt hadn’t played the game yet, and as some one who has finished the majority of the game I felt as though I had some insight to the game, and could make a few points that maybe FilmCritHulk had missed. I suggest you go read their articles and then come back, and while I know that may take a while, I’ll still be here waiting for you when you finish. Oh and sorry about FilmCritHulk’s all caps thing… he writes in character. Back? Ok good Read on for the full response.

For whatever reason I got two codes for and no code for my Dark Knight Returns skin. This kind of bothered me, but I’m looking into getting it replaced. Click for full unboxing video

Review: Batman: Year One

by on October 13, 2011 >> MoviesReviews

is a universally loved character and there are a lot of different ways he can be written. You can make the cartoony over the top that you saw with Adam West and the currently running : The Brave and the Bold. You can write him dark and serious like : The Animated Series and Christopher Nolan’s films. There’s of course a mix in between but my favorite version of is the one in the shadows, the detective, the true crime fighter.
