Unlike the weirdness and shortness of the last few Final Fantasy Type-0 videos, what we have here are two fairly long looks into the game. The first is the newest official trailer straight from Square Enix, filled with all the usual CG / gameplay combo goodness. The second, which is probably the more interesting of the two, is a seven minute demo titled “Natsubi” which is being played by game director Hajime Tabata. He also comments on the demo, but unless you speak Japanese that probably won’t do you much good. Check both of them out after the break.
Have some money laying around but don’t know what to buy? Want to know what games are hitting your system of choice this week? Then head inside for the games of July 17th through July 23rd and check out their trailers, prices, and our thoughts on what’s your best bet.
What I’m talking about is 4 seconds in. Watch it. You’ll know what I mean. Square Enix, I don’t know what you’re trying to tell me, but I got a good laugh out of it.
With the VITA on the horizon, this is probably the last big PSP game that I care about. Even thought there’s been no word so far of a US release date, considering that the game’s coming out this fall in Japan and it’s a massive Final Fantasy branded PSP title, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it here sometime early next year. What I can say for sure is that the game is looking great, and if Square Enix knows how to do one thing right it’s definitely PSP games. Other than Final Fantasy Versus XIII, this is probably the SE title I’m most looking forward to right now, so I’ll be sure to keep you updated on anything regarding an English release. Watch the videos after the break.

We’ve got four videos from Capcom here, interviews talking about several of their upcoming games. They’ve got details on Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Street Fighter x Tekken, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition, Street Fighter Volt, and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.
Certainly a lot of titles, and a long runtime to go with.
The big press conferences are done, and with them we’ve seen a ton of trailers, all kinds of news, and of course a few massive failures. We’re getting two new HALOs, the new Tomb Raider looks amazing, NGP became the PSVITA, and the Wii 2 is now the Wii U. And that’s just a tiny, small bit of everything that’s gone on over the last two days. Inside this post you’ll find links to all of our liveblogs, Kent’s run downs of each of the five press conferences, and a few additional comments from me. Check it out, there’s a ton of great news you don’t want to miss.
An entire Playstation conference with no Kevin Butler was a massive surprise, but so was the price of the new Playstation Vita. We all can’t wait to get our hands on it this winter.
I certainly wasn’t expecting this. From the company that launched the PS3 at 600 dollars and fought the original DS at an over a hundred dollar difference, comes a new groundbreaking system at the exact same price as its underdeveloped rival the Nintendo 3DS. Just the sheer graphical capabilities of this system are pretty amazing, and it’s got just about every other method of control and interactivity that you could want from a handheld.
I’ll be buying one of these day one without a doubt, and with titles like Uncharted: Golden Abyss coming its way, we have what looks to be a quality launch headed our way this holiday season.
