Young Justice: Legacy Coming in 2013

I love Young Justice. I think it’s one of the best animated series on today and I’m really sad that season 1 was so short and that it was broken up with months and months between new episodes. Hopefully Season 2 won’t be that way. But now a small developer called is going to make an multiplayer RPG based on the show. The problem is… ’s only previous game is called Busy Scissors and it looks fucking terrible. Taking on one of the better TV franchises is a big task and our expectations for this title are low.

Young Justice: Legacy has the tag line “One will rise. One will fall. One Will Die.” Kind of morbid but also interesting. We already know there are some characters who are planned to leave the show for one reason or another and the character of Speedy has had issues with heroin in the comics so what are they going to try and do here? Who knows.

The game’s site also promotes a 12 playable characters fighting 12 villains set up. Now is this 12v12 multiplayer combat or 12 player versus computer combat, part of the story? We’ll let you know when more details come in. With 12 playable characters I’m sure we’ll actually see either new characters or part of the justice league join the roster. The show hasn’t acted as if Batman and Superman barely exist in the way that Teen Titans did, but rather has them up front and center in quite a few episodes.

is expected to ship in early 2013 and will be available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS… but strangely not the 3DS, Vita or Wii U. Will a DS game be able to sell in 2013?
